Hollowed is a 3D side-scrolling puzzle platformer that tells a story of grief, adventure, and determination. Players follow the story of Halia, a young woman who travels to a fantastical realm in order to bring back her dead lover.

​

Along her journey, Halia is joined by her spirit, Oco. Oco is a separate entity from Halia that the player controls separately. Oco also gives the player a set of unique mechanics, designed to mirror the stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, and Depression.
